Angelica Maestas leads Strategic Partnerships and New Mexico Expansion at Builders, where she’s focused on expanding the firm’s presence in the Southwest and driving initiatives that connect capital, founders, and industry to accelerate innovation. Her work includes building partnerships with industry, national labs, academic institutions, and government leaders—alongside sourcing and supporting high-potential investments across the firm’s core sectors.

With over 15 years in healthtech as a founder, operator, and investor, Angelica brings a deep understanding of the structural gaps in healthcare and the opportunities to close them. She previously co-founded a healthcare analytics company focused on population health and cost containment, which was acquired by a software development firm in 2021.

She also leads HealthInno, a hub for healthcare innovation rooted in community and collaboration, and hosts She’s Ambitious AF, a podcast spotlighting fearless women founders and funders.

Outside of work, Angelica is writing a book, developing a sitcom, and spending time with her husband, and human & canine children. She’s also a long-suffering Chicago Bears fan and finds joy being near water—which makes living in the desert all the more entertaining.
