Isaac Dinner is a data scientist and business academic with executive-level expertise at the intersection of applied statistics, machine learning (ML/AI), product, and growth strategy. His work focuses on translating rigorous quantitative methods into scalable business impact, building models, experimentation systems, and decision frameworks that drive measurable improvements in customer acquisition, retention, pricing, and monetization.
He currently leads data science and ML-driven growth initiatives at Vivid Seats, while also advising startups through Builders VC and pursuing select independent projects. His experience spans customer analytics, causal inference, marketing effectiveness, and deploying AI systems in high-growth operating environments.
Previously, Isaac served on the faculty at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and IE Business School. Earlier in his career, he worked at the National Bureau of Economic Research, Airbnb, Indeed, and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, applying advanced analytics to complex business and research challenges. His academic research has been published in leading outlets including Harvard Business Review, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, and Journal of International Business Studies.
Isaac holds a PhD in Marketing from Columbia Business School, an MA in Statistics from Columbia University, and an SB in Mathematics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
